Running a Business in Barnet? Support the Barnet Council Mental Health Charter

A message from David Hart, Engagement & Implementation Officer at Inclusion Barnet:

Barnet Council has launched a Mental Health Charter, to actively support the mental health of people living and working in the borough and foster a culture of positive mental well-being. The Charter has been developed in partnership with Barnet Together Alliance and in coproduction with residents and experts by experience of all ages. The Charter is intended to be aspirational – describing what we want for the Barnet of the future.  It will be a guide for key Council partners, statutory bodies, businesses and organisations, to support the mental health of people living and working in the borough and foster a culture of positive mental well-being.

We are asking council partners, local businesses, statutory bodies and organisations to pledge what they will do to help support its delivery.  Our Mental Health Charter provides organisations like yours with a robust framework to foster a healthy and supportive work environment -by making a pledge you’ll receive:

* Expert Advice – access to guidance from a mental health professional on best practices.
* Ongoing Support – continuous support to help implement and sustain mental health initiatives.

By adopting our Charter, you will not only enhance the well-being of your employees but also promote a culture of openness, resilience, and productivity for people living in Barnet.  Should you have any questions, need further information or if you want to make a pledge, please email David Hart, Engagement & Implementation Officer at Inclusion Barnet – david@inclusionbarnet.org.uk
