NLCCE Member, Jacqueline O’Donovan joins prestigious line-up of speakers at European Transport Safety Council Seminar in Madrid
Jacqueline O’Donovan, managing director of O’Donovan Waste Disposal, will join a prestigious line-up of speakers at the European Transport Safety Council (ETSC) Seminar in Madrid on Thursday 5th October.
As part of the PRAISE Project, the ETSC has joined forces with Fundacion MAPFRE to hold the seminar which will look at work related road safety.
The seminar will mainly focus on success stories in relation to fleet and road-related risk management, and will feature businesses and experts from across Europe.
“We pride ourselves on our standards for road safety and have a shared vision with all staff in our business to continue to help improve the image of the waste industry,” says Jacqueline O’Donovan. “Being invited to share these at a European level is a great achievement.”
Last year, O’Donovan Waste Disposal received the ETSC Praise award which recognises organisations that have taken outstanding measures to improve vehicle fleet safety.
Judges noted: “O’Donovan has demonstrated strong leadership from the top down and is acting as a passionate champion for work-related road risk management.
“It is aiming not just to be an example of best practice, but to set the industry standard.”
ETSC’s Praise project addresses the safety of driving for work and promotes best practice to help employers secure high road safety standards.
